| I sure hated to take this picture. But this is actually what my ribbon collection looks like right now. What a Disaster!! But I am on a mission to correct this once and for all. I have 2 ideas in mind. There will be a follow up post when I get it all organized……promise! |

ORGANIZING Scraps with Nancy

| Haven’t we ALL had messes like this? Mine is uncontrollable right now. I have a bad habit of tossing them all in a pile knowing I will come back and organize them. YEAH RIGHT, who am I kidding! This pile has accumulated for way too long. So instead of digging thru this mess when I need a color, I just go to my full packs and grab another sheet. NOT the way I should be doing this! TIP #1 I sort out my pieces, big to small TIP #2 Next I cut up what I can for another card (like a 5 1/4 x 4 layer) TIP #3 DON”T throw away those smaller pieces! They are great for punching. TIP #4 Sort by color ( I put similar colors in a stack…reds, blues, etc) |

ICS Blog Hop Introducing the 2015 Holiday Catalog
Yeah it’s the first Wed of the month and you know what that means blog hop day! This month our theme is to Introduce the Holiday Catalog to you! Hopefully by now you all have your own personal copies of this catalog…if not please contact your demonstrator to get one because it is fabulous! If you don’t have a demonstrator let us know we would be happy to get one to you!
I am excited this month to announce we have 3 new talented hoppers (Anna, Megan and Diane) joining us…so please do complete the entire hop so you can meet them! ( Megan is on my stampin team!) So us sisters did it again! We planned using the same set but notice on both cards we used the same sentiment! Also we used the same Mossy Meadow Card Stock. Too funny! We had no clue other than using the same set what each other was designing our cards. Yep, for sure were sisters! Stampin sistas even better! We hope you enjoy what were sharing this month!  Realized after I made this card I accidently used retired ribbon! So, a tip if your a demo make sure its current product. LOL! 
I had this idea in my head for my design and it turned out exactly what I was picturing! Gotta love that when it happens! LOL! I used these supplies:

Organizing my Card Stock Scraps
Thanks for coming back for my tip about card stock scraps that I mentioned yesterday.
As I said yesterday I love organizing with my 31 bags. I have one of these file folders for each color group. The scraps go in these folders in front of the full sheets of card stock. I reach for the scrap folder first and it really helps me use up those before cutting a full sheet. I am carrying more card stock now to have on hand for my events and classes. I have outgrown this container to hold both. So, probably going to be separating the full sheets and giving them new homes at some point.
So, yesterday I told you I had a funny story to tell you about my husband. He was helping me cut the computer written layers for the wedding invitations. He had a lot of Very Vanilla scraps and he says your not keeping these right? I laughed and said of course I am. There were half inch strips and bigger pieces. He was shocked I was keeping them. LOL!

Organizing Projects
I love having several projects to work on at one time. I am getting so much better at being organized! This week I am going to posting some organization ideas that have helped me. My first one is after I have started prepping for a project I put all the supplies needed in a basket or container. I love 31 bags and I have many of them thru out my stampin cave! LOL!
This particular bag is holding a very special project as I am making wedding invitations for my sons wedding in December! Yes, I am going to be a Mother in Law! Anyways, with a big project like this one I have it all in one spot to quickly work on it as I have the time to. Right now its on my dining room table waiting for me. As I get finished with them the hardest for me is afterwards putting all the supplies back away and emptying the bag for the next project.
Next topic tomorrow will be a quick organization tip on how I store my card stock scraps. I have a funny story to tell with that post with a conversation I had with my husband yesterday as he was helping me with the invitations.
